Founded in 1984, in three years Visex was already known as one of the top five suppliers in the market of sight-glasses in Brazil.


At that time, Visex's product mix was composed by different kinds of glasses, increasing the uses to materials that could work well and safe in extreme environments, such as boilers, ovens, machines in general, using then high temperature glasses (1.200°C) and high pressure (300 kgf/cm²).


Investments in quality and technology, together with a strong disposition to help the clients promptly, acting with speed and information precision, placed Visex ahead of the competition. The decrease in the final deadlines has pleased our clients due to the reduction of time when the machines or the production line had to remain idle.


In 1990, Visex produced about 5.000 pieces/month of different products, with 15% of the installed capacity not in use. The difficult economic situation of the country in that year forced all the national market to restructure and create new foundations, creating for those who had adapted themselves a competitive international scenario which was bigger than before. Once adjusted to the new work paradigms and to the high investments in automation and controls, in less than two years the exporting to Argentina, Uruguay and Bolivia began, of the sight-glasses to boilers, a product crafted according to international regulations and tested and approved by our clients.


In 1992 Visex was elected for the second time in a row the Top of Mind Company in its area, beating all its direct and indirect competitors.


In 1996, the company consolidated itself as the main supplier of the Argentinean market and increased its range of clients, achieving for the sixth time in a row the Top of Mind award in its area.


By this moment, having the biggest share of the sight-glass market for the industry, and having achieved about 70% of the market of boiler sight-glasses of Argentina, new alternatives were searched for products to be offered, and the world crisis that were to come only fed this desire to grow and invest in new pieces. As it was already the leader in its field and there wasn't room to grow in the market, Visex decided to invest in the area of manufacturing to add value to components which were before made by third-part groups and sold by Visex. The company invested in CNC machines (computer numerical control) to obtain the best precision and technology available in the market and with it in a few months we conquered a niche in the area of oil level sight-glasses for compressors and machinery, jumping from 400 pieces a month to 1.300, due to the quality and the gain costs which where passed on to the clients.


In 1999, with more than 4.000 companies served each year and with a solid position in the market, Visex noted again the need to extend its business and to diversify the range of products. In the clients mix there were those that were minded for their production line and those that received our components for the maintenance of their equipment.


With this it was opened the illumination division, the decoration division and an old tradition of the founders of the company was retaken, that of the optic lenses. In this last area, as the tradition was more than a century old and the market was in need of agile suppliers and technicians to help in their projects, the production was a success. In the illumination division, the highlight was the quality of the products, obtaining more than 99% of approval of components around the clients, not creating reproofs or remakes, which is a great problem in one production line.


In the decoration division, Visex created furniture knobs with transparent glass bars of highest quality for luxury furniture. There was yet the need to obtain clients in the area of technical glass and in this search it was found partners like the manufacturers of hydrometers, a product which we began to supply to the Brazilian market and since last year we began to export as well to Chile and we are negotiating with some manufacturers in Europe.
